Jeannie we usually recommend you put speed work into one session a week; so do an interval run with 4 x 1/2 mile or 2 x 1 mile at your Threshold pace, etc.

    Hello Patrick:
How can I include speed work into my full-marathon training for St. Jude on Dec 6? I really need some speed work…… In other words, should I run a faster pace for mile 6 or a shorter mile 3? My pace is between 8:53-9:15.
    Thanks,
    Jeannie
